Right View of Reality | Step 30 of Awakening in 30 Steps

Aug 15, 2021

Congratulations! You made it to the summit of the gradual path.

The correct view of reality sees the conventional reality of people, places, things, and experiences, as inseparable from their ultimate reality, the lack of inherent existence. Emptiness is form, form is emptiness. Which means we are life-architects co-creating reality with the ability to shape-shift experience and our field of interrelations into a Buddhaverse.

For more on how to use karma and emptiness to manifest our ideal vision see my last chapter in Gradual Awakening where I discuss M.A.P.S., maturity, acceptance, possibility, and seeds.

Questions: why does renunciation precede altruism? What could happen if we trained in the wisdom of emptiness without either renunciation or altruism first? What could happen if we went straight into tantra without the three principles of the path?

Answer these and you’ll the see the value and sophistication of lam rim. Now to follow up on our work here with the 30 Steps of Awakening I’m going to offer:

1) A Review session of all thirty steps in a single concluding post, and,

2) A Q&A session, so please DM me any questions you have and I will do my best to answer them in another post after the Review.

Finally, I’d like to invite you to join me on my online Year-long Lam Rim Meditation Series, so we can go much deeper into these themes together and integrate them into our everyday lives.

How many times can you go through the steps of awakening you ask? As many times as it takes to install their realizations in your guts!

Our culture is all about the next sexy thing, but my teacher Geshe Tenzin Zopa encourage me to take a few dedicated students back to the beginning and do it all again, and again
